The Disability Living Allowance is designed to help people with the extra costs of being disabled.

The DLA makes payments to help with care and mobility.

It was a disgrace that blind people were ineligible for the higher mobility rate.

Fortunately, the Welfare Reform Bill has now tackled this injustice and blind people will get extra help making it easier to get around.
